Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust request meeting with club to explain strategy in the face of decline

The confidence of Tottenham Hotspur supporters [THST] called for a meeting with president Daniel Levy to explain his strategy amid concerns over the club’s decline.

THST says fans are “extremely concerned” about the club’s leadership and they want Levy to explain “the plans for this season and beyond, how success will be measured and how the club’s DNA will be found.”

Levy has been criticized by fans and THST wants him and the board to expose their plans to supporters.

In a statement this morning, THST said: “Over the past few weeks we have been contacted by a growing number of Trust members and the fan base at large who are extremely concerned about the current direction of THFC.

“Part of our role as a Trust is to make sure that the club board is fully aware of fan sentiment. So we requested a meeting with the club board to discuss the short and long term strategic vision of the football club.

“The club’s board of directors will be up to date with questions currently being asked by the Trust, the fans and the media. This meeting is therefore an opportunity for THFC decision-makers to explain their projects to supporters.

“This explanation should include plans for this season and beyond, an explanation of how success will be measured and how the club’s DNA will be found.

“We are awaiting their response and will update our website as soon as there is any news.”
