The Open Championship offering One Club members ‘once in a lifetime’ upgrades

The Open Championship has announced a major evolution to One Club membership, offering unique upgrades to its members.

Following the successful launch in 2017 of free Open membership for golf fans around the world, a further evolution of membership has been announced ahead of the highly anticipated 150th Open at St. Andrews in July.

A number of new perks will be added to the roster this summer, giving fans around the world the chance to get even closer to golf’s original championship.

Membership will still be free for all and the new list of benefits for The One Club includes access to The One Club Hub, exclusive content from The Open and exclusive offers, contests and prizes.

As part of the announcement, Mastercard will become the Presenting Partner of the Fan Membership Program, while already being an Official Patron of The Open.

The Open has listened to its members, who today number more than 700,000 of the most passionate golf fans around the world, to ensure that this next chapter of The One Club is better than ever.

“When we launched The One Club, we brought a truly unique offer to golf fans around the world. Free membership meant people of all ages could get closer to The Open all year round with a exclusive content,” said John Espley, chief commercial officer. Partnerships.

“We are delighted to be able to take membership even further in partnership with Mastercard, allowing us to offer unparalleled benefits within the Free Membership, meaning golf fans can experience the magic of Open in new and exciting ways.”
