Understandably, Tottenham fans loved seeing the South American wearing his old Spurs clothes.
Lamela was a fan favorite in N17, despite numerous injury issues and a lack of final product in the final third.
Every time he got on the pitch he always gave 100% – fans remember that sort of thing, even if you struggle to find the back of the net.
How is Erik Lamela far from Tottenham?
Lamela actually started life at Sevilla on fire, scoring three goals in his first two La Liga appearances.
Things have slowed down a bit now, but he’s still four objectives and of them attends his name in 16 appearances, which is a respectable tally.
In truth, while Bryan Gil still has a lot of potential to tap into, one could argue that Sevilla got the better of Tottenham this summer.
Fabio Paratici struck a deal that saw Spurs pay off £ 21.6 million for the promising Spaniard, and also handing Lamela back to Sevilla in the process.
In 13 appearances, however, the 20-year-old is yet to score.
Nevertheless, we are convinced that it will come well.
For now, let’s see what Tottenham fans on Twitter have said about Lamela’s photo …
