It’s easy to argue that this would be a bad move for Arsenal.
Yes, Aubameyang is currently out of the squad, and yes, he’s been out of form for a little while, but let’s not forget, he’s an incredibly talented footballer.
The fact that Barcelona and Juventus want him tells you all you need to know about his quality, and Arsenal really don’t have much depth up top.
Eddie Nketiah could be on his way to Newcastle, while Folarin Balogun has already been loaned out to Middlesbrough.
If Aubameyang leaves, Arsenal will only have one recognized senior striker in their ranks, and if Alexandre Lacazette is injured, problems will arise.
Factor in the fact that the Gunners are yet to score a single goal in 2022, and you can see why Aubameyang may be needed at some point – even if Mikel Arteta isn’t his biggest fan.
