Although it is customary for devotees to visit temples and shrines in large numbers during the festival season, it can be said that people who visit this particular temple go there to obtain delicious offerings.

It is because the devotees who come here offer milk or yogurt as an anointing to the Lord. Apart from these, some offer prayers to the deity by offering honey, sugar and various fruit juices. Some will even offer a goblet of water as an anointing. It is believed that the Lord will bless them by performing the ritual. This is why the deity of the temple is called ‘Bhola Shankara’.
