Dehradun: During the popular Nanda Devi festival in Uttarakhand, Mata devotees completed the construction of the idols of Mother Nanda Sunanda from the Kadali tree late Monday evening. The idol of Mother Nanda-Sunanda was kept in the premises of the Naina Devi Temple in Nainital for worshipers to see, after worship and Prana Pratishtha amid Vedic chants in the early hours of Tuesday. After that, from 4 a.m. onwards, crowds of devotees started flocking to Naina Devi Temple for Mother’s Darshan.
At the same time, because of this, a person arrived at the temple with a goat to give to the mother, but the police actually sent him away. Devotees began to come to the temple from three o’clock to see the mother. After 4:30 p.m., devotees had mother’s darshan and received blessings. There was a long line of worshipers in the temple until 7:30 a.m.
Even after that, there was a line of worshipers on the temple premises. For this reason, the whole atmosphere of the temple and its surroundings resonated with the chants of Nanda-Sunanda. As a result of the ceremony, the corona protocol was followed in the temple premises and its surroundings. In view of the security on the spot, police forces were also deployed in large numbers. We inform you that from Monday 12 noon, the work of realization of the statue of Mother Nanda-Sunanda from the Kadali tree has started. In the Dashavatar Bhawan temple of Naina Devi, artists related to Ram Sevak Sabha under the direction of Chandra Prakash Sah created the idols of Mother Nanda and Sunanda.
