Big Mac lover Don Gorske fills up at McDonald’s ahead of winter storm Jayden

As winter storm Jayden sweeps across the Midwest and shuts down the country, one of Wisconsin’s most famous residents has wisely stocked up on Mcdonalds delicious Big Macs to survive the snow.

Dan Gorske lives in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, where winter storm Jayden is expected to cause a blizzard as it traverses much of the Midwestern and Great Lakes regions.

Gorske is also the Guinness World Record holder for most Big Macs consumed in a lifetime, as the 65-year-old wiped out 30,000 sandwiches in 2018.

The former correctional officer eats a Big Mac every day and told The Blast he ventured out into the snow on Monday to buy some hot sandwiches. Gorske wasn’t sure McDonald’s would be open due to the conditions, but luckily he was able to go to his restaurant next door and buy “six fresh” to weather the storm.

Gorske says temperatures on Tuesday are expected to drop into the -20 degree range, and he expects to wake up and shovel a ton of snow before enjoying his Big Macs.

The Blast also sought Gorske’s advice on McDonald’s in the UK by adding bacon to their Big Macs. The Big Mac legend agrees with anyone who wants to add it, but points out that he’ll never order his bacon sandwich.

“I like it the way it is,” Gorske explained, adding that he wasn’t much of a bacon fan to begin with, but there was no way he was laughing at two beef patties, a special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions. – on a sesame seed bread.
