A place of worship was damaged with explosives and its priest and a worshiper were beaten with sticks by two dozen masked people in Jawad tehsil in the Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh, announced on Sunday. police. The attackers left behind a brochure claiming that the shrine was involved in the conversion of Hindus to Islam. The attack lasted for four hours, from around 11 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday, police said. The injured worshiper, identified as Abdul Rajjak, was admitted to a hospital while priest Noor Baba suffered minor injuries, police commissioner Suraj Kumar Verma said.

Noor Baba filed a complaint with the police as a result of which an FIR was registered against 24 unidentified people on charges of riots, damage to place of worship, etc., under the Indian Penal Code, did he declare.
