Walmart Partners With Angi to Provide In-Home Services

Walmart and Angi recently announced they are teaming up to provide in-home services to Walmart shoppers. Through this partnership, Walmart customers can hire certified Angi professionals for services that include more than 150 common home projects.

“Since the start of the pandemic, the home is in focus and people across the U.S. are doing more home improvement, maintenance and repair work and they are often turning to Walmart to find the tools and materials needed to start those projects,” said Angi CEO Oisin Hanrahan. “Things like sprucing up an entertaining space by installing a new smart TV, painting a nursery for a family addition, and transforming an outdoor space and adding a patio are now projects Walmart customers can get done seamlessly with the help of an Angi pro as part of the Walmart shopping experience.”

Walmart shoppers can now purchase Angi services both in-stores and through a dedicated landing page on Walmart.com. Services offered include flooring installation, furniture installation, plumbing and electrical work and more. Prices start at $49 for furniture assembly and $79 for television mounting. 

Here is how it will work. When a customer purchases certain eligible items, they have the opportunity to hire a pro to assemble their purchased item. Once the item and the service have been purchased, Angi contacts the customer and coordinates their booking.

Larger-scale projects like plumbing services or flooring installation will require a slightly more involved process. In these cases, a dedicated Angi project advisor provides customers a custom project quote and then work with a pro on behalf of the customer through the completion of the project.
