Timberland PRO Boondock
These 6 in. high Timberland boots are made of waterproof leather and membranes with options for 200g/400g/600g and 1000g of insulation. Ours came with the 400g option and were plenty warm and dry in low double digit temperatures. Part of the magic with these boots are the soles. There is a thermal Urethane base sole for added warmth and a anti-fatigue midsole.
Timberland observed the issue of workers tripping over anti-fatigue mats so they basically integrated the relief those mats offer into their boot soles. The upper boot has a nice padded collar and smart lacing hardware that allows you to thread or hook the upper laces. The heel has an internal heel cup for lateral stability and a second layer of leather for abrasion resistance. The safety toe has a hard rubber exterior and an approved composite plastic so it doesn’t conduct the cold like a steel toe.
The limited height of these pro boots makes them perhaps not the best choice for a lot of snow or mud, but other than they are built to last and will provide long hours of comfort and warmth.
